My Quests

This is for all you game players out there! I won't say "gamers" because it has a lame emo-ish sound to it and implies mainstream game playing, which I deplore.

I have a great many ideas I want to flesh out on this blog, and a friend or two I want to help with this.

My sources of inspiration are so diverse that to list them would seem almost impossible but nonetheless exhausting and ultimately pointless. This is why wordplay and free word association will be a big part of my blog. This will irritate a great many (potential) readers because to some it will make this blog nonsensical, but nevetheless I want to at least try.

In coronation of the *true* birth of this catharsis (oops, I mean blog), I will simply present my questlog for all to see tonight! HERE! NOW!

The list simply chronicals my never-ending quest for game heaven and my battle with myself to finish the incalculable amount of games I purchase. I am a collector, primarily, and have less time and inclination to play, much less finish, most of the games I own. As a result, I keep a list of games I have begun but never finished as a sort of "to do" list egging me on . . . . taunting me . . . . . goddamn you a dirty list!!!!! Sorry. In any case, here's the list as it stands tonight:

PS2:
Silpheed: The Lost Planet
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
Fatal Frame
Contra:Shattered Soldier

Turbo Gfx/Duo
Gradius II
Air Zonk

Playstation:
PArasite Eve
Powerslave
R-Type II
Einhander
Fear Effect
Syndicate Wars
Darklight Conflict

PC:
Tie Fighter
X-Wing
System Shock 2
Painkiller

SNES:
Final Fantasy III
Secret of Mana
Axelay
Ghoul Patrol
Castlevania IV
R-Type III: The Third Lightning

Gamecube/Wii:
Super Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
Batman: Rise of Shin Tzu

N64:
Paper Mario
Goemon's Adventures

DS/GBA:
Sonic Advance 3
Sonic Rush
Dementium: The Ward
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Operation C
Contra 4

Amiga CD32:
Darkseed

Genesis/Sega CD:
Silpheed
Popful Mail
Contra: Hard Corps

Yeah, I'm a nerd. I don't mind. I ambrace it and wave my "freak flag high!" to quote my man Jimi Hendrix. Daunting list, especially with all the shooters and the near-impossible Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Rush, Contras, etc. I have been chiseling away at this well over two years and will finish every last f*ing game.

I promise my next post will be more interesting.
